Sustainability and self-sufficiency of food in Botswana is a challenge that confronts all Batswana, particularly those who are in a position and have the necessary means to produce food. Though insignificant in magnitude and size of the country’s food requirement, our subsidiary Company has embarked to play its role in making Botswana self-sufficient in producing its own food locally. A farm of about 640,000 square metre in Tlokweng has been acquired for this purpose. The development of the farm will be in four phases annually which has started in 2012.
